Not So Sleepy had a nightmare at the first hurdle in this race last year and I'm hoping he can avoid Silver Streak this time - and I'm sure Evan Williams has the same sentiments! If he can get away cleanly and into a nice lead then I'm sure he would have a chance. If…

27/11/21 – 2nd 7/1 – Global Citizen – Ben Pauling – Doncaster
We went out this morning for first lot and it was cold but clear then within an hour we had a solid dusting of snow on the gallop and it was coming down horizontally. Now we have to drive up to Donny and there's a point as I think Global Citizen is the best I've…

26/11/21 – 1st 10/11 – Beggarman – Hughie Morrison – Chelmsford
It's taking me a while to warm to Beggarman whom I originally struggled to trust entirely. After that first win at Kempton I'm reconsidering, but he isn't the most straightforward and if he didn't follow up it wouldn't be the biggest surprise.

26/11/21 – 3rd 3/1 – Eyeofthescorpion – Fergal O’Brien – Newbury
Eyeofthescorpion made a promising start first time for us at Ffos Las and is probably just a shade better fancied than stable-companion Polish who has to concede him 13lb. Mind, it could be very close between them and they both have decent claims in an open race.

26/11/21 – 1st 7/2 – Lyrical Genius – Charlie Longsdon – Doncaster
Lyrical Genius won an English point and then made all nicely in a bumper at Warwick. He has schooled very well and I'm looking forward to seeing him run.

25/11/21 – 3rd 100/30 – Go Pharisee Flyer – Warren Greatrex – Taunton
Go Pharisee Flyer has been disappointing over hurdles but he is related to some decent chasers and seems to love jumping a fence. We are opimistic this will stand him in good stead for improved performances from now on.

25/11/21 – 1st 11/1 – Checkandchallenge – William Knight – Wolverhampton
Checkandchallenge is going nicely at home. He is by Fast Company and makes his debut in a competitive enough maiden contest. He isn't ideally drawn but sometimes you are better off not being near the rails here as that's where the most crowding can occur. Each-way chances.

25/1/21 – 2nd 14/1 – Freethinker – Charlie Longsdon – Lingfield
You can't get excited about Freethinker - he has ability but is not straightforward. One day he might pop up and win but I fear that could be some way off.

24/11/21 – 3rd 9/4 – Bearwith – Brian Meehan – Kempton Park
Bearwith has a solid chance. He was running consistently before his short break but resumes 5lb higher after finishing second here last time. He may be an ordinary horse but this is an ordinary race and he has as I said a solid chance.

24/11/21 – 2nd 22/1 – If I Say – Charlie Longsdon – Hereford
If I Say faces a 1/6 shot here and the race for him will be for second place. He hasn't been brilliant over hurdles so far but we are hopeful he can follow the favourite home.

24/11/21 – 1st 22/1 – Shighness – Micky Hammond – Wetherby
Shighness has had three runs in bumpers and could be running on up the straight with the experience behind her. She will be a two-and-a-half-mile hurdler in time.

23/11/21 – 1st 15/8 – Findthetime – Nicky Richards – Sedgefield
Findthetime is a nice horse who seems to be improving. I'm not sure Sedgefield is his ideal track but hopefully he will overcome that and open his account today.

23/11/21 – 1st 2/1 – Regaby – Ian Williams – Sedgefield
Regaby made all in determined fashion over this marathon course and distance 12 days ago. Up 4lb he can repeat the dose in similar style this afternoon.

20/11/21 – 1st 8/1 – Tequila Blaze – Fergal O’Brien – Ascot
It will be interesting to see whether Tequila Blaze, who been competing at around two and a half miles will do better going up in trip. We think three miles will really suit her in which case she would have a sound each-way chance in this mares' handicap.

20/11/21 – 1st 11/4 – Our Jester – Hughie Morrison – Ascot
Our Jester ran well when runner-up in two bumpers in the spring. He has not been working brilliantly and I'm not sure I've got him fit enough to win this decent bumper. Sometimes these horses get a little "slow" and I hope that hasn't happened with him as he has the form and experience to…

20/11/21 – 1st 16/1 – Jersey Bean – Oliver Sherwood – Haydock
Jersey Bean had an excellent season over fences last winter once equipped with blinkers, winning three and finishing in the money in the others. He ran very well when sixth in a competitive handicap chase at Cheltenham last month when he just needed the comeback run. He likes good ground and is a thorough stayer…

18/11/21 – 1st 100/30 – Norley – Ben Pauling – Wincanton
It wasn't the greatest race that Norley won last time out and the drop back in trip today is not ideal. The snag was there isn't a suitable amateurs' handicap so Norley and Beau, who is a talented young rider, take their chance here. Hopeful of another good performance.

18/11/21 – 1st 7/1 – King Of Unicorns – Micky Hammond – Newcastle
After a promising first run at Perth we were quite hopeful for King Of Unicorns at Carlisle but after running just behind the eventual winner he faded up the hill. Feel Like De Baune went on to win that race narrowly and he and the Crawford horse look the obvious threats.
