Bellazada showed a lot of promise last year and starts handicapping on a fair mark. She found heavy ground unsuitable on her final run in a Listed race here in the autumn but she has been working very well. Great chance.

City Derby ran very well over this course and distance on hurdling debut. He is ready for another good run and could go close.

Yauthym is consistent but she doesn't always seem to last out two miles very well. She deserves to pick up a win and this flat course might be the place where she can open her account.

Dorisa Queen has not shown a lot over hurdles so far but a first-time tongue-tie should help her. We're hoping to see a more taking performance.

Better Getalong may be getting a little long in the tooth for novice chasing. I hope he'll be all right and it will be helpful if the ground rides just on the easy side of good this evening.  He's only ever won over two miles so we're running over that trip. He's in good order…

Beyond The Clouds is a very genuine performer on the Flat and over hurdles. If he takes to fences on this comeback run he is sure to go very close.

Billy The Squid made a creditable return to action when third at Chepstow. Something of a reformed character since being eqipped with blinkers, he should improve for the run last time and has every chance in an open handicap hurdle.

Another competitive contest despite there being only six runners. Commodore Barry needs to show more than last time but is capable of getting in the frame.

Imperial Knight is in very good shape and will have gained confidence after winning at Warwick last time. He should give another good account as he appears to be on the upgrade.

Bembridge put in a much-improved run last time. The step up in trip will help him and the ground will be okay for him. This will be his last run before going out to grass.

Sayadam jumps well and is a horse with a big future. He should go close as long as it doesn't get too soft.

Mojandil has put in a couple of very disappointing runs this spring when we fancied him to go well. He has the ability to go close but needs to pull his socks up.

Kayf Adventure didn't get very far last time losing his rider at an early fence but ran much better the time before. He's very well at home and switches back to hurdles where he's 5lb lower. The rain won't bother him and he could go close.

I've been waiting for cut in the ground for Year Of The Dragon who has done well for his break after three runs on all-weather. I think he will be competitive first time in a handicap and am hopeful he will go close,

Royal Village has been off since November and could run okay but I'm not convinced that he truly stays three miles. He's going to be one of our summer horses so we'll be looking for encouragement today.

Jeremy The Jinn, by the sadly-deceased prolific NH sire Jeremy makes his debut. We will be looking for encouragement for the future.

Your Darling is in great form. He should go very well today.

Royal Practitioner makes her debut today, very late in life as she's an eight-year-old. She does jump very well and works nicely so we'll be looking for a solid first run. We'll know much more about her tonight. 

Forthegreatergood hasn't yet matched the level of her bumper form in her runs over hurdles. She could show a little more today but it will probably be in handicaps that we see the best of her.

Blazon has had a break and is beginning to look well handicapped on his old form. This is his ideal course and distance so we think he could go well tonight.
