Oscar Rose had her latest race at Hereford fall into her lap. She often finds ways to get beaten and it might be asking a lot for her to make it two in a row. Place chances anyway.

The now nine-year-old Younevercall sustained an injury at Royal Ascot last year and has had more than a year off. He has a big task off top-weight admittedly in a race he's won twice befotre, and he may have to be content with a place.

Storm Goddess is nicely weighted. She ran well in a strong race at Cheltenham and will love today's ground. We'll ride her a bit handier and that should enable her to make the frame.

Malinello had decent bumper form last season especially behind Third Time Lucki who looked smart at Wetherby the other day. He's no slouch in his own right and we're expecting a pleasing first run over hurdles today.

They won't play to his strengths but our promising conditional Kai rides and his 10lb allowance might bring him into the picture.

Shakem Up'Arry ran some fantastic races in the hottest novice hurdle comany last term without quite managing a win. As a result he remains a novice for this season and we've given him as easier assignment to start him off. He should win this on his way hopefully to bigger things.

Gortroe Joe didn't look straight-forward on his latest run. It is hard to imagine on what we've seen at home that he can improve enough to win today. We can run into a place.

Duke Of Navan is a grand old horse who often runs well fresh. We're looking forward to a nice performance but in general our winter horses have needed their first run.

Teqany remains in great form and has the ground back to good which is perfect for him. He probably can't win a race of this quality but we could sneak third if he goes really well, so it's best to enjoy watching him rather rather than betting.

Almazhar Garde needed his comeback run in a very competitive race at Wetherby, going up with the leaders for a long way until tiring. He'll be fitter today and on this track and over a longer distance I'm very hopeful he'll go close.

El Presente has had a cracking season so far with three wins out of four. This is by far the hottest race he has run in and frankly a place would be very satisfactory.
