Haliphon deserved to get his first win for us after some excellent efforts following his arrival from France this year although it took a stewards' inquiry to confirm it at York last time. Like Alfred Boucher his chance of winning will depend on how the cards fall for him in this tight-knit apprentice handicap but there's no question he's a major player.
