Byron Flyer, who started 2021 rated 9lb higher, is finally getting some respite from the handicapper at age ten. He did run well in the Queen Mother Cup at York in the summer and also has performed well around this course on Derby Day 2019 when second to handicap snip Soto Sizzler. He will be more accustomed than some with the big weights in this jump jockeys' Derby. Decent each-way chance.
