I couldn't entirely trust Freethinker but he certainly ran his best race yet when second at Lingfield in November. The form has worked out well but it is still odd and indeed unfair that in the new ratings today he has been raised 3lb on that rather ancient collateral form. At least it means he's theoretically well in today, but it's a big field and he's no certainty.
