Manothepeople has been struggling a bit since winning this under Paddy 12 months ago. There were signs that he might be getting back to his best when 5th in the Kim Muir last month. With conditions to suit, he must have a great chance of a repeat.

John Barbour won at 2nd time of asking, landing odds of 1/3 with no fuss at Newbury. This is more competitive but he's going the right way and with two good candidates in the race, we travel there with high hopes.

Two in this. Serious Challenge was rated 100 on the flat with Jim Bolger and we've done well with a horse of his in the past. Serious Challenge has won his last two with increasing authority and hopes are high for the hat-trick.

Eyed runs in a proper little race but he is at the right end of the handicap. We know he has ability and I think he'll love the ground but it's whether these good horses may have too much speed through the race to take him out of his comfort zone. We'll know more about…

Rashabar had a tremendous season as a juvenile, winning the Coventry Stakes from the wrong side of the track at Royal Ascot following up with close 2nd places in Group 1 races at Deauville and Longchamp. He's very well and goes there with a great chance.

Lillistar went well in a gallop with Wednesday's winner Stellarmasterpiece last Saturday. Her form has been improving although it's slightly guesswork whether she'll stay the 2m4f. If she does, she'll have a great chance.

Summergrounds won well last time and is an ideal partner for his young amateur rider in this hands-and-heels race. She works very hard and you have to give them a chance so this race suits nicely. Summergrounds should be fine on the going and hopefully is worth an each-way.

Jaramillo has run well both times over fences and will be sharper for his last run. Should go well today.

Mistral Blue put up a much better showing around here last time when she seemed to get on well with Fern in a conditionals' race. They need to maintain it against the pros, but with her mark down 12lb for her three runs this season, she has to come into consideration.

Court In A Storm has won and been placed in bumpers and is ready to start his hurdling career. It's not a great race in terms of depth and frankly, he should be the one to beat.

Stellarmasterpiece has had a freshen-up since her winter stint of hurdling. She won well over the CD last year and then finished 3rd in the Ladies' Derby at Ripon despite an awful start after which she went through the field only to tire. Can run well.

Roysse should probably have won another twice but his hard front-running style always leaves him vulnerable to a late challenge. We're trying a hood to limit distractions. The ratings of the top three suggest his price is wrong in relation to the Nicholls horse and a more controlled run could bring a big dividend.

Followcato wasn't disgraced when 7th of 19 in Sandown's EBF Final for which he was a 25/1 shot last time. This maiden hurdle will be a much less taxing task and he could well get those first winning brackets here.

Onewaywest has certainly travelled a long way west for this competitive handicap hurdle. He was off for a year before making a promising return when 2nd at Windsor in December, but hasn't followed that up in either of his subsequent runs, in which he finished last. Needs a revival.

Beach Point has been working nicely but our runners so far have seemed to have been just a touch undercooked and needing their first run. I'm wondering whether the ground will be too quick for him. Place chance.

Jet Of Dreams ran well on his first start after a winter break. He will have come on for that and should go close today.

Shahbaz made easily his best performance since coming over from Ireland when 2nd at Wolverhampton last month. That ticked up his mark by 2lb but a similar improvement would probably get him over the line first.
