No No Juliet met two good mares at Fontwell and was beaten fair and square, but I was happy with the way she easily held the rest of the field. I've put the cheekpieces on her to sharpen her up as she is very laid back.

03/12/19 1st 4/1 – Seaston Spirit – Oliver Sherwood – Lingfield Park
Seaston Spirit runs in this handicap chase and to be frank I have been disappointed by his performances as his work and schooling at home have been very good. His bumper and novice hurdle form isn't too bad either. Let's hope he can bring it to the track today.

02/12/19 3rd 3/1 – Estrela Star – Ali Stronge – Wolverhampton

Estrela Star put in an excellent run last time over 1m4f and it looks like stepping up in trip won’t do him any harm. Tom Marquand is a good jockey booking so fingers crossed that he’s got an obvious chance.

02/12/19 3rd 11/2 – Laurie Come On – Oliver Sherwood – Plumpton

Laurie Come On ran perfectly okay on his first outing over hurdles here a couple of weeks ago. He looked quite green but his jumping was good and he ran to the line. He is much more of a long-term project and while I hope he’ll run well he will fare better once handicapped.

02/12/19 2nd 4/1 – Matewan – Ian Williams – Wolverhampton

Matewan has his first run since winning nicely at Ripon in the summer. He's up 2lb for that and has to have a chance in this small field especially as he ran well here on his only previous all-weather start in August last year.

30/11/19 3rd 6/1 – Star Of Lanka – Warren Greatrex – Newbury

Star of Lanka put up a solid effort at Sandown, his first run since his summer break and a wind operation. He has come on for that run and is in great order. Hopefully his low weight and the 5lb that Ben Jones takes off his back will see him go close.

30/11/19 3rd 3/1 – Espoir De Romay – Kim Bailey – Newcastle

I really like this horse. He won well at Warwick and has improved at home since. Hoping for a very bold showing and expecting him to go close.

30/11/19 2nd 6/1 – Puerto Banus – Ian Williams – Lingfield Park

Puerto Banus probably found things happening too quickly last time over seven furlongs. He was earlier third on stable debut over a mile at Carlisle and has a decent chance here.

30/11/19 1st 15/8 – Chazza – Kim Bailey – Bangor

I bought Chazza at the Cheltenham sales and failed to sell him.. I like what I have seen of him at home and expect him to go very close. He had good point-to-point form in Ireland.

30/11/19 1st 16/1 – Cornerstone Lad – Micky Hammond – Newcastle
Cornerstone Lad is in great form after his two recent wins. Obviously it's a massive step up in class today but all we are looking for is for him to maintain the progress. Realistically he only has to doddle round to pick up a nice prize. Who knows, he may get more than we and…

30/11/19 1st 20/1 – Takingrisks – Nicky Richards – Newcastle
Takingrisks has just started to come to hand after the exertions of last season when he won the Scottish National. He might not be at his best on this ground but I'm running him to get him fully fit. He's well and I wouldn't be surprised if he ran a big race.

29/11/19 2nd 6/1 – The Retriever – Micky Hammond – Southwell
The Retriever has been running well without setting the world alight. He handles cut on the turf so we are trying this surface. He didn’t quite let himself down on the Tapeta at Newcastle last time, but if he takes to Southwell he has to be in the shake-up, so small each-way may be the…

29/11/19 1st 13/2 – Sevarano – Oliver Sherwood – Newbury

Sevarano won nicely on his reappearance at Chepstow, confirming the promise he showed early last season. Sevarano is a very tall horse and a naturally lean type but he is definitely stronger this winter. His penalty will not be easy in this very strong race, but we are hopeful he will be up to the…

28/11/19 3rd 14/1 – Republican – Oliver Sherwood – Taunton

Republican hung violently to the right in his last race at Huntingdon having travelled extremely well early on. We have checked his back and teeth; he’s seen a chiropractor and has had massages, but nothing major has come to light. He has ability and has continued to school and work nicely since. He can be…

28/11/19 2nd 9/2 – Fubar – Kim Bailey – Taunton

This horse is as good a work horse as we have at home. He has had a wind operation and a back operation since his last run. On form he should be placed.

28/11/19 1st 2/1 – Dan Gun – Fergal O’Brien – Taunton

Dan Gun won nicely last time out at Huntingdon. He does want better ground but we are optimistic that he may get away with it today. Obvious each-way chances but he could win again.

28/11/19 1st 8/11 – Stick With Bill – Harry Whittington – Ffos Las

We were delighted with Stick With Bill's first try over hurdles at Chepstow. He looks the one to beat in this four-horse field.

28/11/19 1st 8/1 – Huddle – William Knight – Lingfield Park

Huddle is better than her mark and that why we're persevering with her. She has the ability to win a 0-60 and even though she's posted a bit wide, she has a small each-way chance today.

Headscarf Lil ran a very good race on debut at Kelso in May and will hopefully go well again today. The ground will be totally different but as a daughter of Getaway she shouldn't mind it. Good chance.
