Mokaatil is a consistent sprinter, perfectly capable of winning a race of this nature. He is fit from two runs since the resumption, and was staying on strongly last time at Doncaster. The stiff finish should be to his liking.

Waterlefe Getaway has shown ability at home in her work but will definitely benefit from the experience.

Arthur's Sixpence had respectable chasing form last season. He has been kept for summer jumping and is well and ready. On the book he has one to beat, so second (or hopefully better) is the possible outcome.

Saintbury Lady needs to show something today. She has been very difficult to train and has issues so  there is no huge confidence behind her.

Alpine Mistral did well to finish fourth after encountering trouble at Leicester. The winner has followed up on an 8lb higher mark since then, so being dropped 4lb is a pleasant surprise.She must have a good each-way chance tonight.

I couldn't believe Unit Of Assessment's price of 40-1 when he won at Kempton last time. He usually runs very well there, continues in good form and should still be very competitive in 0-80 class. Big chance of another good run.

Heart Of Soul ran a good race at Doncaster last week and will enjoy today's softer surface. Hopefully he can stretch his stamina to deal with this testing 1m5f, in which case he would be the one to beat.

Monty's Award missed a race recently owing to the deteriorating ground, but he should be fine today. The plan is for him to go forward and off a fair mark I'm hopeful he'll go well.

Convivial will have no problem with today’s trip and ground. She  has come out of her recent Thirsk fourth place well. If she can build on that she has to have strong each-way claims.

Neverbeen To Paris is in good form at home but he  hasn't run for a while so will possibly need the outing. This is a competitive handicap but he showed some good form in the autumn in similar events, so hopefully he can run well to offer encouragement for the coming weeks.

Robyndzone never stopped improving last season. He is great form at home, will love the ground and should take all the beating.

Yeavering Belle is not very big so shouldering top weight is not ideal. She is well and has been working very nicely. I would expect a very bold showing and surely she must go very close. This race looks ideal for her.

We bought a few yearlings last autumn to run in maiden auction races and lo and behold, those races have disappeared from the Calendar. This is one of very few in which we could run Huddleton Mac and happily he's started working quite well at the right time. Hoping for a decent run on debut.

As he showed at Ascot, Sir Busker loves to run at a fast pace and he will have those ideal conditions again today. They always go a furious gallop in this historic handicap and even dropping back a furlong should not inconvenience him. He remains in great form at home and Oisin knows him well.

You can forget Fubar's last run as the ground was heavy and he is a good-ground horse. He has the ability to win this if he sees out the distance. I would have preferred two miles but there are no suitable races for him at the trip as he has a preference for going right-handed.…

Ballyhome needs to put his first chases last season behind him but in fairness the heavy ground was totally wrong for him then. He flew back into form returning to hurdles on better ground and should show his best today. Each-way chance.

Masked Identity ran his best race for some time when just denied at Kempton. The 4lb hike looks severe enough and another question is whether he will handle the ground. One clue is that he has won around Southwell!

Caius Marcius is always very effective at this time of year and made hay over fences last summer. We gave him a spin round on the all-weather a couple of weeks before lock-down, but his 140 hurdles rating means he will need to be right at his best to make an impact here. Tough task…
