Siog Geal was an impressive winner first time out of a Belharbour point-to-point, easily beating a subsequent winner that is now with Harry Derham. Our mare shows plenty of talent and we have to be hopeful of a good start to her Rules career.

Kamsinas progressed last season in his first hurdles campaign winning three novice races including a Grade 2 at Haydock. There's still a bit of juice in his handicap mark of 130 and we expect him to go very close.

Mokaatil has been running okay off the higher mark he earned with two summer wins at Chepstow. He's always liable to turn up and he's an attractive each-way price if he does.

Plaisir Des Flos made spectacular progress in handicaps last season and begins the new campaign 29lb higher after four impressive wins. Until he does taste defeat, we'll be going to the races with plenty of confidence.

Flagon Dry goes there tonight with excellent chances. He's run two solid races around Wolverhampton and should enjoy going up to a mile. He's nicely drawn and seems to be improving. Hopeful.

Just Chasing May has the Skelton horse to beat but won easily at Uttoxeter before his break and is progressing well. We're claiming 10lb off him.

Samazul will outrun his odds and is a horse I fancy at a bigger price today. He was okay in bumpers but didn't really match it last season.

Golden Ambition is a monkey who doesn't really want to know. That said, he ran better last time and should go okay.

Sabrimento hasn't the greatest form but he is a sound horse so we'll keep going with him. If we throw enough mud at the wall maybe one day it will stick.

I was delighted with the improvement Hippocratic Oath showed in winning at Wolverhampton despite rearing and losing ground at the start last time. He has been raised 4lb, but seems to have improved at home since, so we're hopeful he can follow up.

His Finest Hour ran well for a long way behind a useful performer on debut at Lingfield. He will know more about it today and could make the frame.

Strong Run has been shaping nicely. This is her first sight of a racecourse, but as long as she isn't too green she could challenge our other runner Dream Shadow.

Two strong contenders in this. Dream Shadow has the experience of a point win in Ireland on debut and a good 3rd in her bumper on this track. Normal improvement would see her go very close.
