It's reasonable to hope that C'Mon Kenny, a bumper winner on debut, will find a bit going up in trip from his novice runs in this first handicap. He seems fairly treated and should go close.

Exceedingly Regal goes nicely. He ran well on his return at Salisbury so his subsequent Haydock effort was a big disappointment. I think he will like the all-weather and he could run into a place in an ordinary-looking 0-80 handicap.

One Small Step was staying on at the finish of her latest race and that should have brought her to peak fitness. That run suggested a mile and a quarter would suit her and I am hopeful she can successfully concede the weight to the three-year-olds.

You wouldn't find many more consistent chasers than Templepark for whom today's trip and ground are ideal. I have to say after a wind-op he looks available at a surprisingly big price and represents great each-way value.

Valentino Dancer remains in good form after his smooth win at Kelso last time. Up 8lb for that, we think he will still be involved at the business end today.

There is no argument that Kick On Kick On is very well handicapped on his old form. Unfortunately he has yet to show us anything like that level in recent starts. One day I'm sure he'll put it all together, hopefully tonight.

Drumlee Watar has won nicely the last twice and remains in good form. This looks a competitive race and he gives away weight all round but I am sure he will continue to give a good account of himself.

This is a considerably weaker race than the one at Stratford in which Renardeau made a promising debut in fifth. He will have improved since then and looks a good value each-way chance against some under-achievers.

I can't quite believe that Marsabit is on the brink of winning a third race but he does look the one to beat. The worry would be if there wasn't any pace so let's hope someone wants to make it!

Desert Gulf has plenty of ability and while he didn't run too badly when fourth last time at Newmarket, it was probably a little quick after Royal Ascot. Six furlongs in a small field at Yarmouth could easily be ideal and I certainly have not lost faith in him. Should go close.

All Clenched Up was just getting the hang of it first time over hurdles at Stratford having been out of her ground early on. A bumper winner, she will know more today and Uttoxeter might be a better track for her with a long finishing straight. Good each-way shout.

Dusk Chorus has been making steady improvement on the turf on her two latest starts on this track although she got a little tired over the longer trip last time. We are back to a mile and a quarter today. Strong each-way chances if she maintains the progress.

Byzantine Empire won nicely over this course and then ran a good race first time in a handicap at Newton Abbot. He's in great form and we are hopeful he can get his head back in front tonight.

I would have given Angels Landing a big chance as on form she is clearly capable of winning this ordinary contest. Unfortunately she has a dreadful draw in 13 and will need luck in running. 

Only moderate form so far from this mare. She will get better I'm sure as she gets on in age and has a jump in front of her. Possibly not today though.

With the non-runners this looks a match between us and Dr Newland's horse Theo. Similar profiles so it's a coin toss really, we just hope we come out on top.

Our Colossus ran a blinder last time. The trip today may be a little short of ideal but he needs to find the confidence to finish off his races. Hopefully he will progress again and maybe run into a place or better. 

City Runner is a very nice horse and he made a highly promising debut at Windsor, despite a slow start. He has a big chance today.

Burristo stayed on well in his first hurdle race. He should improve with that experience behind him and hopefully can produce another solid performance.
