Ask Dillon is an ultra-consistent horse in these long-distance handicap hurdles and he copes with the ground too. We are taking 7lb off his big weight and we are hopeful of another place - at least!

09/01/21 – 3rd 20/1 – Slipway – Ben Pauling – Kempton Park
Slipway is a very promising young horse that we like very much. This is extremely competitive but I expect him to outrun his odds.

09/01/21 – 3rd 12/1 – El Conquistador – Shaun Keightley – Lingfield Park
I'm surprised to see the money for El Conquistador this morning. On what he's shown us so far he would appear to have a bit to do in this company, although the step up in trip might help.

08/01/21 – 1st 1/2 – Becky The Boo – Fergal O’Brien – Newcastle
Becky The Boo was a very promising fourth when the only mare in a hot bumper at Newbury, staying on strongly up the straight. The form of that race has been working out and she has travelled up well, eating up and has been in great form at home since her run.

09/01/21 – 1st 3/1 – City Derby – Fergal O’Brien – Lingfield Park
City Derby was in the process of running a good race on bumper debut at Hereford when he was brought down on the home bend. I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have won as the winner stayed on very strongly but he would have been placed and we are hopeful he will get in the frame…

06/01/21 – 2nd 9/2 – Impeach – Brian Meehan – Kempton Park
Impeach has been improving in his races to date and ran well in third last time around here over this trip. With normal improvement he has to go close in a trappy race.

04/01/21 – 1st 8/1 – Bill Baxter – Warren Greatrex – Fakenham
Bill Baxter has point-to-point form and while it will probably not be until he goes over obstacles that he shows his true talent, we are hopeful of a solid run in this bumper debut.

04/01/21 – 3rd 18/1 – Hepburn – Ali Stronge – Fakenham
Hepburn has also missed races through meetings being called off. She's 17 hands so hardly the ideal candidate you would think for Fakenham but it's a 0-100 mares' handicap and you don't find many of those. She's yet to win a race and that will probably still be the case tonight.

03/01/21 – 1st 6/1 – Seaston Spirit – Oliver Sherwood – Plumpton
Seaston Spirit has raced only once this season when enjoying a runaway win over hurdles in heavy ground at Ffos Las. As a young horse he could be naughty but he has settled down now and loves extrme distances and conditions. This race should fit his requirements ideally.

03/01/21 – 3rd 13/2 – Sincerely Resdev – Micky Hammond – Catterick
Sincerely Resdev is the best chance of a winner we have today. He won nicely first time out for the stable at Sedgefield in November and while he didn't follow it up on a return visit there nine days ago is in good form and could go close.

01/01/21 – 1st 10/1 – Bullion Boss – Nicky Richards – Musselburgh
Bullion Boss ran a much better race the last time here when second to an easy winner but this is probably a more competitive race. Again like our other runners he has each-way claims.

02/01/20 – 2nd 7/1 – Shakem Up’Arry – Ben Pauling – Sandown
Shakem Up'Arry ran very well in a hot handicap hurdle at Haydock last time. He deserves a run in this Grade 1 and although I expect him to run well I'm not sure he's quite up to that level even though he won't mind the ground. It's when he goes chasing next year that we're…

01/01/21/ – 2nd 13/2 – Schiehallion Munro – Micky Hammond – Musselburgh
Schiehallion Munro has been in great form at home. He likes to be up there from the start and my main worry about today around this sharp course is that there are a few possible front runners. If he could have either an easy lead or travel nicely behind one that would be ideal, but…

31/12/20 – 2nd 5/1 – Bowtogreatness – Ben Pauling – Warwick
We had high hopes for Bowtogreatness before his recent Newbury debut and while it was a decent enough run, we were a shade disappointed when he finished only fifth. I'm expecting another good run today although the favourite will not be easily beaten. Each-way chances anyway.

31/12/20 3rd 8/1 – Rintulla – Ben Pauling – Warwick
Rintulla didn't come up to expectations over hurdles after showing smart bumper form earlier in his career. He made a bright start over fences when fourth at Bangor giving weight to three horses who have all boosted the form with subsequent wins. He fell early next time but is a good jumper and with a…

31/12/20 – 2nd 10/1 – Shah An Shah – Charlie Longsdon – Warwick

31/12/20 2rd 100/30 – Via Serendipity – Ken Pitterson – Lingfield Park
This useful performer has some good A/W form to his name and ran well last time out in a Listed event. This represents a drop in grade and I'm confident he can be there or thereabouts at the finish.

30/12/20 – 3rd 25/1 – Pencreek – Ben Pauling – Market Rasen

30/12/2- – 1st 9/2 – Gortroe Joe – Fergal O’Brien – Market Rasen
Gortroe Joe had a horrible fall at Leicester last time and I hope it hasn't dented his confidence. He was a revelation when winning from the front previously at Sandown and if he could get back to that sort of form he'd have to go close.
