Miss Milano is sort of consistent but she is what she is. She's a game little thing and I think we will win a race or two with her over the winter, possibly not today, but we live in hope.

Hercules Morse is a lovely big, backward youngster by Blue Bresil who makes his debut here. He isn't really a bumper type so we're going straight over hurdles with him. This is tough as it often is at Worcester but I expect him to run a nice race.

Red Hat Eagle is a nice colt by Gleneages. He has been shaping well on the gallops and we like him. He's worth a small each-way bet on debut but it looks a competitive race.

Couldbeaweapon really ought to be winning this. He was an excellent second first time in a handicap and that has brought him on. Big chance.

The fact that this race was divided has made it less competitive than usual with only nine runners rather than a full field. Lelabad clearly enjoyed going around a bend at Chelmsford last time and he looks the one to beat off 3lb higher here.

It's more than two years since Palace Boy had his last run on the flat in Germany, but he won it very easily. He is a half-brother to the recently-retired Tony Mullins mare Princess Zoe and has loads of ability but his jumping is taking time. One to follow.

We've had to pull out Manofthepeople from a few races owing to firm ground so he has been ready to run for a while. He's in great form and this looks a good starting point for him over fences. A clear round is the most important issue for today but he ought to be involved…

Nothin To Ask is in great form and won a maiden hurdle here last season on soft going. It's a good race for his first attempt in a chase but if he handles today's ground he could go close.

Realisation is a nice mare by Masked Marvel and comes to us having finished second in a soft ground Irish point. This looks a quite competitive bumper but a sensible starting point for her

This a very interesting race with many very likeable horses involved. Chianti Classico won his bumper well at Market Rasen having finished a very creditable second at Ascot. This former Irish point winner is made for the job and although we might not beat the favourite trained by Paul Nicholls we will certainly try to.

Maughold Head is a nice type who ran a promising race on debut in a Kelso bumper but then disappointed around here in May. He should improve for this race in which the favourite will be hard to beat but we do expect a decent run from him first time over hurdles.

Tfou ran well in all his races last season without managing a win. He starts off chasing in a novice handicap with top-weight, but it's only the fourth race of his career. If he meets the first few fences well and gets into a good position he should be all right and go very close.…

Hard Iron has been disappointing so far, not living up to expectations in his novice runs and looking rather slow. He starts handicapping off a lowly mark and should appreciate going half a mile further. We'll see how we go.

Shinobi unseated at Fontwell on Wednesday but won the race without a jockey!. This is not a great race, hence the quick return, while the track should suit. Place chances if all goes well this time.

Peking Rose ran in strong novice company all last season, winning one at Newbury by a wide margin. His final seventh of 21 here in a Grade 3 handicap at the Grand National meeting was creditable and a subsequent wind-operation should be beneficial. Hopeful of a nice comeback performance.

Honor Grey was very progressive in his novice season, winning two and then running a good third when favourite for his last run at Worcester in May where a last-flight mistake didn't help. He can still progress from his mark of 120 and while he can improve for the first run, with the horses going…

It is hard to know where we are with Leading Theatre who has struggled the last twice after winning a mares' novice hurdle in the summer. The increase in trip will help and she is in good form but she could probably do with some help from the handicapper.

Age Of Illusion makes his debut over fences in this novice handicap. He jumps well and should run his race but his big weight possibly could scupper his chances.
