Kangaroo Point is not great value at present odds. That said he should be competitive off what looks a fair mark.

Glentaneous is a nice son of Gleneagles. He'll probably need the run and has a moderate draw to overcome.

Hunny Moon is ultra-consistent and she will handle the ground. This looks a particularly warm race though and we will be more than happy with a place.

Unai has to improve massively on what he's been doing on the track. He's working well enough at home but needs to regain his best form and I'm far from confident that he will.

Foster'sisland has been struggling for the most part over hurdles, showing nothing like his useful bumper form. Reverting to the level might bring him more into matters and the 10lb we take off him will help. Small place chance.

Party Business is quite nicely bred and goes all right at home. If anything he will probably lack a bit of experience but we are hopeful of a decent showing.

Sometimes Always is a talented horse who has done well hurdling. At the start of his career he should have been much nearer in a hot bumper at Ascot. Big chance today.

Although a non-winner so far on all-weather, I think Wolverhampton suits Quoteline Direct well. He's a nippy sort, so adept at going round the bends and I wouldn't be surprised if he proved better at a mile and a quarter although he stays much further on turf, where he's a five-time winner. Obviously Billams Legacy has the Noel Williams horse to beat, but she's been off for a long time. Our mare impressed last time at Wetherby but now concedes the winner's penalty. We'll find out how good she is today.

Takingrisks is in grand form. Obviously he stays very well and that will be the main requirement today. He's a big price but I won't be shocked if he gets in the shake-up.

The Cob didn't run his race at Newbury after two emphatic wins this season. He's much better than the Newbury form but will need to be to figure here. I will have slight reservations if the ground becomes too tacky.

The race wasn't run to suit Central City last time but in this big field there's more chance of plenty of pace from the outset. Granted that, Central City should be finishing strongly up the straight and has each-way chances.
