Nathan's Run made a promising start when 2nd at Uttoxeter and there were feasible excuses for his latest run at Huntingdon. He's had a wind-op since and we're hoping for a better effort now.

Shillanavogy continues to be in good form at home and if things fall the right way for him today he shouldn’t be too far away.

Beat The Edge usually beats himself, getting into good positions and then fading away. He's wearing blinkers, indeed any headgear for the first time from here, and if they can keep his mind on the job, he must have his chance.

Two For Gold won this race two years ago and was 2nd in it last year. The ground is a worry but he's capable of going close again.

Checkandchallenge had a better 2024, but he'll probably need this first run of the year.

Real Dream was a high-class performer for the now-retired Sir Michael Stoute. He joined us with a very high mark and he will do well to get in the money here today on this first run for the yard.

Queen Of Steel won at the 2nd time of asking for the stable, very easily at Ffos Las a week ago. She goes unpenalised and from tomorrow would be 7lb worse under her revised mark. Hard to beat.

Jimbo Sport had placed form in Irish points. He meets unexposed types from top stables but we've seen a lot to like about him and go there today with decent hopes of a debut win.

He's A Diamond is a nice sort but he hasn't shown a lot so far. We're going up to 2m4f and while he didn't excel in his bumpers, he has some form in points. Probably bound for 3rd behind the two market leaders.

Just Typical loves this course and distance. With Billy again in the saddled, a 2lb higher mark is unlikely to stop him.

Everything points to Halpha Soleil. Brian Hughes takes over from Emma on a horse with a good record around Hexham. I think the race will fall right for him and we go there with plenty of confidence.

Zucayan has come back from a long break with two solid placed runs in February, the first on this track. If Nick can get him going a little earlier he can be the one finishing best up the straight in a wide-open handicap.

Green Team finally stepped into the winner's circle last time after a long string of placed efforts, with just one poor run the time before the victory. That was over 1m4f but he also has good form over the CD. so, off only 2lb higher, he is an obvious contender.

Queen Of Steel didn't run too badly on stable debut last time and is down another 2lb for that to 79. Her form is low-grade both on the flat and over jumps, but she was placed a few times for previous connections. We're hoping first-time cheek-pieces will make a difference.

Mahler Moon has had three runs from here since joining from the Skeltons and so far hasn't shown too much promise. He's at the foot of a tricky handicap and I'd like to think there will be more to come from him, hopefully starting today.

Summergrounds lives up to his name as he enjoys spring/summer conditions. He's in good order and I expect him to run a big race.

Beat The Edge has been beaten in easier races than this since joining us, seemingly a weak finisher. He usually gets close at some stage and at an each-way price, he's worth a small bet.

Sun Art did well when 3rd two runs back at Southwell but didn't build on it when favourite at Huntingdon last time. He might struggle to give the weight to the younger favourite here.
