Leading Knight has been knocking on the door in recent starts. He can be given an each-way shout on his form at Fontwell two races ago.

Royal Village was not himself at home after his last run but seems fine now. If the ground stays as it is he has a chance although to be fair he is rather in-and-out.

I think Caius Marcius has a nice chance. He blew up at Stratford after his break and he's sure to improve a bit for that. I'm expecting a good run today.

Ex Mark Johnston horse and not a usual source for me. Gold Zabeel goes alright but this will tighten him up. He will win races and today he has a small each-way chance.

We're stepping up Buxted Too a couple of furlongs and he would appreciate a decent pace up front. Whether or not that materialises he will be turning up late on. Decent each-way chance.

Oneforthegutter was a relatively expensive purchase from the breeze-ups. I expect him to do better over further in time but this is a great place for him to start off his career.

We were very optimistic before Coral made his stable debut at Stratford over two miles but he was outpaced from the start. It could easily be that we got the trip very wrong - he ran over three miles for his previous stable - and we think he deserves another chance at the longer distance.…

Leading Theatre, a daughter of top stayer Leading Light was placed in the second of two irish points late last year. She goes really well at home and we expect her to go close first time out in this mares' bumper.

It was a step in the right direction for Hoot At Midnight last time. If she can maintain the progress here she should not be too far away at the finish

Ultimate Fame won nicely on debut over this course and distance. She is only small so the worry is that the penalty might find her out against some unexposed types from good stables. Hopefully despite this she can back up the win with another really good run.

Butte Montana will have gained confidence from his promising comeback run. He is in great form and should go well. Place chances if not more!

Warranty ran a better race last time at Pontefract but even so looks held by Dynali on that running. Needs to improve to figure in this stronger race.

Dragons Will Rise has a very good chance and I still think he is open to improvement after his successful time on all-weather. In Becky he undoubtedly has one of the best riders in the race and with the ground ideal he could be hard to beat.

This time an actual match. The two mares are close on form but at Huntingdon we saw the real Merry Berry possibly for the first time. As a definite improver I think she could follow-up. 

Breaking Waves would have a big chance here on some form but he has been rather inconsistent including last time. That said it would not be a total shock if he put it all together today.

Windsor, waterlogged six days ago, is now good to firm and I hope it stays that way for Aylesford who is a real six-furlong horse. He did well to win at Yarmouth and I think he has improved since. Even with the penalty I expect him to be hard to beat.

Bathiva goes well fresh as he showed with an impressive win first time out for the stable after a break. He is in really good form and can put in a repeat performance here.

Little Bruce has had a wind-op and I suppose we're throwing him in the deep end for this stable debut. He works nicely and loves his jumping and he has certainly done more than enough in the past at a similar level to deserve to run in this classy race. He could easily trail the…

Heart Of Soul has a fine record on the track and his chance will have been helped by any rain. Trip and conditions are ideal and we expect him to go close.
