C'Mon Kenny is a nicely-bred and cheaply-bought Godolphin cast-off. He makes his debut in a fair bumper for the time of year and it will be interesting to see how he goes.

Hunny Moon has had a cracking season and is a worthy favourite for this wide-open mares' race. The trip around here may be a shade on the sharp side but I expect her to put in her usual creditable showing.

Philip Kirby's horse looks a big threat but I've been delighted by French Minstrel's improved attitude this year. He won with a strong finish over this course and distance before following up nicely at Kempton and should not be far away as he still seems reasonably handicapped.

The prize-money - £2,100 to the winning owner - is scandalous for a 0-75, about £400 more than a 0-55! He's got a chance but it's warm enough, but whether it's worth going all that way is the real question for grass-roots racing to answer!

Psychedelic Rock was in the process of running a stormer at Newbury until coming down when full of running early in the straight. He needs to run at least to a similar level or maybe a little better but I'm sure it's within his capabilities.

Grand Du Nord didn't enjoy the Tapeta at Newcastle on his latest run but shaped much more promisingly on debut on turf there. He's our likeliest winner on a busy day.

Oscar Rose has compiled two wins but in pretty uncompetitive chases. Back to hurdles she might not find it quite so straight-forward but obviously back to form she has a chance.

This is an actual two-horse race and Jeremy Pass is 5lb better in with us at the weights but who knows? It will be a very tactical race and I hope The Bull McCabe will win it!

I'm Wiser Now will have got plenty of confidence from getting his head in front for the first time over the course and distance and now amateurs are back in action, he could give Albi a win today.

One More Fleurie is qualified to run in this but now he's up against Mercedes and McLarens. It's so competitive and even with three progressively-impressive wins he's still going in at the deep end. Let's hope he comes out swimming. ?

Rubytwo has been pretty consistent for all of her racing life even if she might have won a time or two more if things had gone her way. I've no doubt she'll run another good race today and we'll see how we go.

We were very hopeful about Corbulo before his seasonal return at Bath and he duly came through despite not being totally comfortable there. Nottingham should suit him much better and as he's very well I'm optimistic he can defy the 7lb rise. Good chance.

We were anticipating a much better performance than Parisencore put in on debut at Ayr. The ground was very testing and the hope is that he'll redeem himself on the faster surface today.

Merry Berry starts handicapping on a modest mark and comes here after a more encouraging latest effort. She's in brilliant order and has a big each-way chance tonight.

Jersey Wonder will love the ground. He's very well handicapped but the unknown is the trip. If he can relax then he'll have an excellent chance of lasting home in which case he would be the one to beat.

Torigni has to shoulder a big weight but he should find today's ground very much to his liking. Big each-way chances. 

We run two nice types, both winners already this season, in this Grade 3 mares' events. The hope is to get some black type. Raffles Gitane has a win at Hereford to her credit but would need to improve on her last run to win this.

Ask Dillon is a true warrior. He never knows when he's beaten and we hope he can get his head in front today as he deserves to win a race. Very likely to be in the money once again if he doesn't.
