Lucky's Dream has been out of form, so we're sending him back to Chelmsford where he usually runs well to seek a revival. Nice price too!

Fine Casting is a lovely horse. We expected a good run on debut at Newbury but he pulled much too hard. In the circumstances it was still a creditable first effort and he should go very close today.

Anightinlambourn has yet to win a race but she's been pretty consistent and was a good second last time at Southwell after needing the run first time back. She's in great order and surely must go close at the very least today.

We have a newcomer in each of the divisions of the seven-furlong novice today. Goodwood Glen, a son of Territories, has shown promise on the gallops but will be green and will benefit from the experience. Best watched.

Dubai Tigress will be one of the outsiders but we're planning to go forward with her today. Hopefully she could run into a place in this first attempt in a handicap.

Surrey Gold ran quite well last time at Kempton. He's from a good Aga Khan family and should definitely improve on what he's shown so far. Possible each-way chances.

Talktomenow has been consistent over hurdles. He has schooled well over fences at home and this is a good opportunity to start him off.

Four Mile Bridge works to 80 and runs to anywhere from 40 upwards. He's the perfect case for hoping for the best and planning for the worst and so far that's meant that for all his ability he's never won. Maybe he'll do so today.

I hadn't been planning this race for Saint Dalina but it's cut up and I'm hopeful she'll stay the extra distance. She was very promising on her comeback run at Leicester and must have a great chance today if she stays. I think she will.

Mahlervous has been in good form since running Sevarano close at Sandown. The winner's subsequent effort at Exeter offers encouragement and a big run is expected today.

The Retriever won easily last time over course and distance but that was only a seller and he's 5lb higher today. This is a better race and Mick Appleby's will be hard to beat as he's won his last two and still looks leniently treated on old form. Should run well in any event. 

Silver Nemo has been gelded since  Wolverhampton when he ran better than his finishing position suggests, having run into a little trouble in the latter stages. This will be his first sight of Southwell and you can never be sure if they will act on the surface.  

Le Breuil is in the form of his his life and handled these fences well last year. He will be fitter for having his run at Kelso and looks well handicapped. Big chance.

Naizagai has a fair amount of experience already for a three-year-old and ran a much more sensible race last time at Ludlow. With his 14lb weight-for-age allowance he could be dnagerous from the bottom of this handicap.

Elham Valley is a nice type who goes well. He stayed on the Flat where he won a couple so we will be going there with each-way hopes.
