Late Date ran well here when third in October but was disappointing last time at Sedgefield. However his ratio of wins to runs over fences - three from nine -  is good. This is competitive, but with a top amateur on board he should have an excellent chance.

Drewmain Legend is in form and running consistently. She won nicely at Leicester and will cope with the ground and the track. The one worry is it's a big step up in class but we expect her to run well.

Shakem Up'Arry would probably have won last time at Leicester but he fell three out when in the lead. This is a much deeper race but our horses are in better fettle than they were then. He'll enjoy the ground and is sure to go well.

It's been a long time since Enchancia's only run in a point-to-point 19 months ago. We will have to see how he goes today but he does have a future.

Speedy Cargo made a disappointing start over fences at Fakenham but that track isn't for every horse. On his earlier hurdles form we know he has plenty of ability and he should make a better fist of it today.

We had an awful day yesterday when Supamouse, who won his bumper so impressively at Wincanton, suddenly collapsed and died when the bids were already raining in. Hopefully Kipps will win this as he was so promising on debut but as we just found out, you can never take anything for granted with horses.

Peter's Portrait has some fair form and ought to get this extended trip but there are some in-form horses who definitely do stay well. Small each-way chances.

Emraan is a three-year-old gelding by Invincible Spirit that we picked up cheaply at the sales. He's bred to be decent so we'll see how he goes on this belated debut today.

Brummie Boys ran perfectly well first time over hurdles when fourth at Hereford. He weakened in the soft ground in the closing stages that day so I’ve dropped him back in trip today. Global Fame is a gorgeous big horse who won his bumper on the bridle. He's an exciting recruit to hurdling and he should give a good account today. Jumps well and handles the ground so may be good enough to win on debut.

Global Citizen had a great season last time and needed his comeback run at Carlisle. We're putting on a tongue-tie and are expecting a much more competitive run.

Rouge Vif has had a little tweaking to his wind since his last run and we've also taken off the hood today. He ran a cracker here last year in a novice hurdle and the track suits him well. He has been in good form at home and will be ridden positively so hopefully will…

Ask Dillon has had a few niggles hence his absence since early in the year. He has been working well and loves this track so should be a solid each-way prospect.

No No Juliet won well at Southwell last time over today's trip and ground, and is a thorough stayer who usually jumps well. Her laid-back style of racing helps her save energy for the business end and she can complete the hat-trick.

Dontdelay will stay every yard on the testing ground and goes well for today’s rider. We feel he has a great chance after his winning effort in a four-mile chase at Hexham.

Dominateur won over course and distance last time but he did give us a couple of scares along the way, especially when he and Gav had a difference of opinion at the last fence. He's a horse that can seem to be going nowhere and then after one good jump he can take off and…

Java Point ran well enough at Southwell in finishing fourth but nothing has come out of the race to test the form. He is not an ideal bumper horse but he stays and seems to like soft ground. This does not look the strongest of races so place chances.

Malinello, by Malinas, comes from a decent jumping family. We are looking forward to this debut.

Jamacho didn't run too badly on his first run on the Flat after disappointing hurdling for the most part recently. He should have no problems with the longer trip and could run into a place.

Black Abbey was bought recently out of France to go juvenile hurdling. He has winning form with cut in the ground over 1m4f on the flat. He is a tough little horse that likes to make the running and has taken well to hurdling at home.
