Dariya is pretty consistent but is getting a little difficult to win with. I expect her to run her usual solid race and maybe get into the frame.

Akmaam is a very nice son of Wootton Bassett. He is one for the future.

Hasanabad has not been quite the disaster some have suggested since joining us. He wasn't beaten far in a very strong handicap at Ascot last time and we've been concentrating on getting him to race more evenly. He has schooled nicely and he could be an above-average recruit to hurdling.

Lilkian remains in fantastic form after his win over 7f at Chelmsford. He is up 5lb and drops back down to six furlongs but I'm not worried about either. Could continue to progress and a great chance today.

This will be Peur De Rien's first run over fences and his second since a major wind operation. He's a stunning-looking horse, but owing to that wind issue and unsuitably testing ground it's impossible to be sure how successful it has been. Shinobi was a good bumper winner and his form afterwards was decent enough. This is his first run over hurdles and I reckon he will have to run to a rating of 118 to win this. He should be placed and could well go closer. I like this horse - he is a character!

Sir Benedict ran well on his first start. This breeze-up buy has improved a great deal for that run and has a small chance in what looks a decent race.

I'm slightly concerned about the ground for Shady McCoy. If it's not too testing and we get a decent gallop he could go close.

Urban Artist was very good i bumpers and like many in the family switched to the Flat with success. A Listed bumper winner, she rather surprised me when beating a couple of promising three-year-olds at Windsor. I'm not sure that run warranted her rating of 80, but today will tell us whether that was correct.…
