Fosters’Island comes from a good family of stayers. He is showing up nicely at home but this race looks rather warm. Being by Turtle Island he will enjoy the ground.

29/12/19 2nd 6/1 – Snow Leopardess – Charlie Longsdon – Doncaster
I was delighted with Snow Leopardess on her comeback at Newbury as she'd taken the chance to have a foal since her previous outing 26 months earlier. She retains all her enthusiasm and is sure to improve a great deal for Newbury. Each-way chances.

29/12/19 3rd 4/1 – Yauthym – Fergal O’Brien – Doncaster
Yauthym, a daughter of Authorized, had plenty of experience on the level in France where she was placed six times in 11 starts. She has shown up well on the gallops and jumps nicely so she could well be in the shake-up.

29/12/19 1st 9/2 – One Touch – Ben Pauling – Doncaster
In retrospect One Touch ran a much better race than the form might suggest in fourth at Southwell when the horses were out of form. I'm expecting a bold show today and rate him a good each-way prospect.

29/12/19 2nd 6/1 – Bob Mahler – Warren Greatrex – Doncaster
Bob Mahler put up easily his best performance since his spring exploits when third at Haydock. We expect further progress in what looks a winnable race.

29/12/19 3rd 9/2 – Late Date – Micky Hammond – Kelso
Late Date ran well here when third in October but was disappointing last time at Sedgefield. However his ratio of wins to runs over fences - three from nine - is good. This is competitive, but with a top amateur on board he should have an excellent chance.

28/12/19 3rd 3/1 – Drewmain Legend – Ali Stronge – Newbury
Drewmain Legend is in form and running consistently. She won nicely at Leicester and will cope with the ground and the track. The one worry is it's a big step up in class but we expect her to run well.

28/12/19 2nd 11/1 – Shakem Uparry – Ben Pauling – Newbury
Shakem Up'Arry would probably have won last time at Leicester but he fell three out when in the lead. This is a much deeper race but our horses are in better fettle than they were then. He'll enjoy the ground and is sure to go well.

28/12/19 3rd 14/1 – Enchancia – Ben Pauling – Leicester
It's been a long time since Enchancia's only run in a point-to-point 19 months ago. We will have to see how he goes today but he does have a future.

28/12/19 2nd 5/1 – Speedy Cargo – Warren Greatrex – Catterick
Speedy Cargo made a disappointing start over fences at Fakenham but that track isn't for every horse. On his earlier hurdles form we know he has plenty of ability and he should make a better fist of it today.

28/12/19 1st 11/10 – Kipps – Hughie Morrison – Lingfield Park
We had an awful day yesterday when Supamouse, who won his bumper so impressively at Wincanton, suddenly collapsed and died when the bids were already raining in. Hopefully Kipps will win this as he was so promising on debut but as we just found out, you can never take anything for granted with horses.

28/12/19 2nd 10/1 – Peters Portrait – Charlie Longsdon – Catterick
Peter's Portrait has some fair form and ought to get this extended trip but there are some in-form horses who definitely do stay well. Small each-way chances.

28/12/19 1st 16/1 – Emraan – Ian Williams – Lingfield Park
Emraan is a three-year-old gelding by Invincible Spirit that we picked up cheaply at the sales. He's bred to be decent so we'll see how he goes on this belated debut today.

27/12/19 2nd 100/30 – Brummie Boys – Oliver Sherwood – Wetherby
Brummie Boys ran perfectly well first time over hurdles when fourth at Hereford. He weakened in the soft ground in the closing stages that day so I’ve dropped him back in trip today. He's a shell of a horse and still growing, so very much a longer-term prospect. While getting some experience into him this…

27/12/19 2nd 6/1 – Global Fame – Fergal O’Brien – Chepstow
Global Fame is a gorgeous big horse who won his bumper on the bridle. He's an exciting recruit to hurdling and he should give a good account today. Jumps well and handles the ground so may be good enough to win on debut.

27/12/19 2nd 11/2 – Rouge Vif – Harry Whittington – Kempton Park
Rouge Vif has had a little tweaking to his wind since his last run and we've also taken off the hood today. He ran a cracker here last year in a novice hurdle and the track suits him well. He has been in good form at home and will be ridden positively so hopefully will…

27/12/19 3rd 11/4 – Ask Dillon – Fergal O’Brien – Chepstow
Ask Dillon has had a few niggles hence his absence since early in the year. He has been working well and loves this track so should be a solid each-way prospect.

27/12/19 3rd 7/1 – No No Juliet – Oliver Sherwood – Wetherby
No No Juliet won well at Southwell last time over today's trip and ground, and is a thorough stayer who usually jumps well. Her laid-back style of racing helps her save energy for the business end and she can complete the hat-trick.
