It seems as though age is starting to catch up on Byron Flyer. On his recent form it's hard to give him much chance and the 66-1 the bookies are offering is understandable.

25/04/21 – 1st 5/2 – Younevercall – Kim Bailey – Sandown
This race two years ago was the last Younevercall won - Covid stopped last year's fixture - and he comes into it in cracking form. I think he has an excellent chance of winning it again with everything, track, ground and trip all in his favour. We need what has been a very good season…

24/04/21 – 4th 11/1 – El Presente – Kim Bailey – Sandown
El Presente has had a great season and his prep race at Ludlow has put him spot on for today. It is seriously annoying that the weights have shot up. His original 10st4lb would have been ideal but 11st9lb is definitely not as he is a small horse. He will do well to be placed,…

23/04/21 – 2nd 40/1 – Buxted Too – Ian Williams – Sandown
Buxted Too was certainly progressive in his three runs on all-weather, winning nicely at Chelmsford. The Esher Cup is a big step up but you may as well try them in a 25 grand race to find out how good they are. The favourite is out so I think 25-1 each way is great value.

23/04/21 – 1st 100/30 – I Spy A Diva – Kim Bailey – Worcester
This home-bred mare has taken her time to come together and she is finally getting there. Tonight will be a bit of a shock for her and providing she handles the faster pace and understands that racing is now her job, she should run well. Place chances.

23/04/21 – 1st 9/2 – Shaws Bridge – Micky Hammond – Perth
Shaws Bridge made a promising start for the stable when not beaten far at Carlisle in a race run on the inside hurdles track where the uphull finish is more marked than the outer. He didn't get a great run up the far rail and today, off 2lb lower and hopefully better for the run,…

22/04/21 – 1st 4/1 – Ernesto – Ian Williams – Exeter
I reckon I've expected Ernesto to win a good few of his races and he simply hasn't come through. He's down at bargain basement level tonight considering his ability and while I very much think he should get his head in front it's hard to be over-confident that he will.

22/04/21 – 2nd 22/1 – Kajaki – Nicky Richards – Perth
Kajaki didn't run too badly at Haydock last time when he needed it a shade. He will be straighter today and has a decent each-way chance. After that we'll keep him going in the summer when he should pick up a race or two at Cartmel and small tracks like that.

22/04/21 – 1st 3/1 – Unai – Ben Pauling – Warwick
I expect Unai to run very well. This time we'll be making much more use of him from the front in which case he'll be very hard to peg back. Big chance.

21/04/21 – 1st 7/2 – Ordered Lives – Fergal O’Brien – Taunton
Ordered Lives won well at Ludlow last time, but now has a penalty to contend with. Liam's 5lb claim largely addresses that but fellow recent winner Tonyx may be hard to beat.

21/04/21 – 1st 10/1 – C’Mon Kenny – Ian Williams – Ludlow
C'Mon Kenny is a nicely-bred and cheaply-bought Godolphin cast-off. He makes his debut in a fair bumper for the time of year and it will be interesting to see how he goes.

21/04/21 – 1st 100/30 – Hunny Moon – Fergal O’Brien – Perth
Hunny Moon has had a cracking season and is a worthy favourite for this wide-open mares' race. The trip around here may be a shade on the sharp side but I expect her to put in her usual creditable showing.

21/04/21 – 1st 6/4 – French Minstrel – William Knight – Lingfield Park
Philip Kirby's horse looks a big threat but I've been delighted by French Minstrel's improved attitude this year. He won with a strong finish over this course and distance before following up nicely at Kempton and should not be far away as he still seems reasonably handicapped.

20/04/21 – Curtiz – Hughie Morrison – Southwell
The prize-money - £2,100 to the winning owner - is scandalous for a 0-75, about £400 more than a 0-55! He's got a chance but it's warm enough, but whether it's worth going all that way is the real question for grass-roots racing to answer!

19/04/21 – 1st 11/4 – Psychedelic Rock – Ian Williams – Kempton Park
Psychedelic Rock was in the process of running a stormer at Newbury until coming down when full of running early in the straight. He needs to run at least to a similar level or maybe a little better but I'm sure it's within his capabilities.

19/04/21 – 1st 8/1 – Grand Du Nord – Micky Hammond – Hexham
Grand Du Nord didn't enjoy the Tapeta at Newcastle on his latest run but shaped much more promisingly on debut on turf there. He's our likeliest winner on a busy day.

19/04/21 – 1st 9/1 – Oscar Rose – Fergal O’Brien – Kempton Park
Oscar Rose has compiled two wins but in pretty uncompetitive chases. Back to hurdles she might not find it quite so straight-forward but obviously back to form she has a chance.

18/04.21 – 1st Evens – The Bull McCabe – Kim Bailey – Stratford upon Avon
This is an actual two-horse race and Jeremy Pass is 5lb better in with us at the weights but who knows? It will be a very tactical race and I hope The Bull McCabe will win it!

18/04/21 – 1st 6/4 – I’m Wiser Now – Fergal O’Brien – Stratford upon Avon
I'm Wiser Now will have got plenty of confidence from getting his head in front for the first time over the course and distance and now amateurs are back in action, he could give Albi a win today.

18/04/21 -1st 11/1 – One More Fleurie – Ian Williams – Ayr
One More Fleurie is qualified to run in this but now he's up against Mercedes and McLarens. It's so competitive and even with three progressively-impressive wins he's still going in at the deep end. Let's hope he comes out swimming. ?
